A GIANT processing equipment group with a combined turnover of e660 million and more than 4000 employees has been formed.
Marel Food Systems' acquisition of the Stork Food Systems division of Stork N.V. has now been approved by the European competition authorities.
The two companies had announced an agreement on the acquisition - subject to conditions - in November 2007. These conditions have now been met.
Marel and Stork have complementary product lines and both have been used together to make up factory lines.
