A CROWD of over 30 well wishers gathered at Dartmouth Castle on Sunday morning (26 May) to witness the arrival of the new super vivier crabber Edward Henry DH 100, reports Phil Lockley.
The new 25.5m crabber, built at the Spanish yard of Astilleros Armon for the south Devon Mitchlemore family, is reported to be the largest in the UK and to be equal to five scrapped old licenses.
Skippered by Rick Mitchelmore, the glistening new two tone craft was on time after a 48 hour steam from Burela in northern Spain through atrocious weather conditions.
