The deepwater sterntrawler India Rose D 683, the largest boat to be built with financial assistance under Ireland's Fishing Fleet Development Measure, arrived at her home port of Killybegs, County Donegal, at the beginning of last month.
India Rose, 37m long and 499GRT, was designed and built in Skagen by Karstensens Skibsvaerft for CIM Trawlers of Killybegs, headed by Marie and Cathal Boyle.
Named after their daughter and Cathal Boyle's mother Roseanna, the boat will be mostly skippered by Paul Ferry.
Cathal Boyle will concentrate on marketing the vessel's catches directly to Europe, when not sailing as relief skipper.
