KARMØY Winch of Norway supplied Lunar Bow’s full package of deck equipment, including Karm 3010 autotrawl system and an arsenal of 158 kW electro-hydraulic powerpacks. Most of these are housed on the ship’s port side aft of the engineroom.
Two 50 tonne net drums are positioned waterfall-style slightly to port of her centreline at shelterdeck and forecastle deck level, with the lower drum arranged forward of the elevated unit.
Split trawl winches of 82 tonnes first layer pull are positioned on the boat deck either side of the upper net drum, with the lifeline winch located forward again on the starboard side.
