Europêche, the European fishermen’s organisation, confirmed Javier Garat will remain its president for the next two years.
Garat is also secretary general of CEPESCA, the Spanish Fishing Confederation. The rest of the management will also remain the same, the association said at its general assembly held this week.
The four vice-presidents elected for the same period are Barrie Deas from the National Federation of Fishermen's Organisations (NFFO), Marc Ghiglia from Union des Armateurs á la Pêche de France (UAPF), Gerard Van Balsfoort from the Pelagic Freezer-Trawler Association (PFA) and Paul Piscopo from Koperattivi Malta.
