Icelandic whitefish giant Brim, formerly known as HB Grandi, received the 2019 Environmental Awards of Confederation of Iceland Enterprises.
The award is given to companies with a strong focus on environmental issues. The panel of judges said that the company "emphasizes social responsibility and respect for the environment," including setting sustainable targets, reducing waste and carbon emissions.
Brim will continue to direct its efforts towards sustainability and environmentalism, as it also improves the company's operations, said Brim CEO Gudmundur Kristjansson.
