A long-established family fish merchant business has entered the millennium by opening state-of-the-art premises at Billingsgate fish market.
Boasting 2500sq ft, the Howes Brothers' new office and work area marks the firm's 50th year of existence.
The present company chairman and director is Wally Howes who works alongside his brother Alec Howes who has been at Billingsgate since 1947.
Later this year a third generation of the family will take over the reins in the form of nephew Dougie Howes.
He explained: "With this investment we aim to become the forerunner, to be on top.
