QUAY FISHER WD 16:
This 127ft beam trawler arrived in Ireland from Holland in 2000 after being bought from Urk as Leendert Marie UK-45 by O’Flaherty Brothers of Kilmore Quay. The beam trawler was built at the Kramer & Booy shipyard in Kootstertille in 1971 for Texel owner Dirk Krijnen as the 112ft Drie Gebroeders TX-19. Powered by a Stork 1425hp engine, Drie Gebroeders beam trawled for sole and plaice in the North Sea, putting her catches ashore at Den Helder.
