Since skipper Sandy McLeman and his brothers Andrew, Donald and Johnny took delivery of Boy John at the end of 2014, the vessel immediately proved her capabilities by landing three successive 900 box trips in Peterhead and Hanstholm when pair-seining with Rosebloom INS 353 in the North Sea through a succession of severe January gales.
Ordered to replace a 20.8m vessel of the same name, the new Boy John is designed to provide enhanced levels of efficiency and safety while replicating the fishing capabilities of her predecessor.
