In the past year Gemini Workboats has completed 17 vessels to all different stages of build. New orders have generally slowed, as they have with the most yards in the UK, as further "gross mismanagement" of our fish stocks by DEFRA takes effect, the company says.

At present Gemini Workboats has a number of boats in build: a G12 highspecification twin-rig trawler for a Belgian client, which is to replace a 24m beamer; a GF12 vessel for Michael McLeod of Achiltibuie on the west coast of Scotland, which will be used for prawn creeling; a G10 full fit-out vivier crabber for Andy McCallum of Wells in Norfolk, where she will be working on crab; a GF12 1100hp 35-knot vessel for a private angling client; and a GF12 passenger vessel for Ireland.
