Boy Jason's arrival in Castletownbere was a proud occasion for owner Ebby Sheehan and his family, especially Ebby's son Jason, who is a crew member on the boat that he gives his name to.
Boy Jason is the first new boat built for Sheehan's Fishing Company and replaces two boats now removed from the fishing registry, Dee Marie W 448 and Ocean Reaper S 229.
Although ageing, these boats played key roles in making the order for the new Boy Jason a realistic option two years ago.
