Ian Mathieson of Aberdeen is now crabbing with his new Cleopatra Fisherman 33 Dalwhinnie A 913. The 20 plus knot GRP hulled vessel attracted much interest from fishermen on show at FISHING 2002.
Dalwhinnie and her new potting gear package are a large scale investment for Skipper Mathieson, who previously fished smaller static gear boats from Cullen and Boddam harbours north of Aberdeen.
The need for a fast and robust boat enabling new crab grounds further offshore to be fished with maximum efficiency and safety was foremost in Skipper Mathieson's thinking behind his decision to order a new boat.
