Hull trawler owners J Marr (Fishing ) Ltd recently took delivery of the 40m fresh fish trawler Farnella - a genuine 'made in England' ship launched recently from Appledore Shipbuilders Ltd in North Devon. At a cost of around £4m the trawler represents a major financial investment in the Humberside region's fishing industry.
The investment was based on a confident view of the future of Hull's fishing industry and a sister ship to Farnella has not been ruled out.
Farnella is a vessel whose design shouts common sense from stem to stern.
