Jørgen Eriksen, skipper and owner of Greenland shrimp trawler Claudia, said that the Dynex Warps from Hampidjan that they are now using have proved themselves under difficult conditions fishing in heavy sea ice.
Claudia has a 1300t shrimp quota off West Greenland, and with additional quota leased from other operators can catch up to 1800t a year.
“We should have switched to using Dynex Warps long ago. This is the future in trawling, especially under the tough conditions we experience in Greenland in winter,” he said.
