The Brixham beam trawl fleet received a boost recently with the arrival from Holland of two Eurocutter-style beamers.
The first to arrive was the 23.1m Zeearend GO 18, which has now been renamed Sasha Emiel BM 181 by new owners Seafield Emiel Trawlers. Maaskant Shipyard fitted out this vessel in 1990 as the Cat 225kW-engined beamer Zeearend KG 5 for Huib Bout of Colijnsplaat after the hull, which has a registered length of 21.1m and a beam of 6.28m, had been built at Gdynia, Poland.
