A large quantity of drugs was discovered on board the Polar Seafood trawler Polar Nanoq from Greenland -- the vessel which earlier this week was forced to return Iceland after it was found to have links to a high profile case involving a missing girl, reports Iceland Review.

Inspector Einar Guðberg Jónsson from the Reykjavík Metropolitan Police confirmed the discovery of the drugs to RÚV.

Three of the ship’s crew members are suspects in the disappearance of 20-year-old Birna Brjánsdóttir, who has been missing since the morning of Jan.
