FALMOUTH area fishermen and mariners paid their last respects to the 'larger than life' character, Toby West, at his funeral on Monday this week at the Church of King Charles the Martyr in the centre of the port.
He died at the age of 82 after spending his entire working life as a seaman, including 34 years of RNLI service rising to coxswain of the Falmouth lifeboat. He was also an inshore fisherman, an oyster fisherman and a day charter skipper of renown.
