Astrid is a sophisticated pelagic vessel built for trawling and purse seining, and was finished in record time in July after the hull was delivered behind schedule to the yard only in January this year.
Three generations of the Johansson family are involved in operating Astrid and Astrid Marie, with Leif Johansson still very active in his eighties, and his sons Börje and Tomas skippering the two vessels, while the third generation of Daniel, Kristian and John Johansson is also on board and preparing eventually to sail as skippers and mates.
