SKIPPER Alasdair Montgomery of Portree is delighted with the performance of his new Cygnus Cyfish 33 static gear boat Centurion BRD 653.
Fishing 700 prawn creels in the Minch daily from Uig, Centurion is a significant change of direction for Alasdair Montgomery, who was previously skipper/owner of the 14m trawler Belmar OB 106 which was sold to Sweden last year when he ordered Centurion.
Centurion is powered by a 200hp Cummins engine and features a sea-water spray system in the fishroom that keeps tubed prawns placed in ponds in optimum condition before being collected by Sea Scot.
