MORGERE of St Malo's Polyfoil doors are used by the Scottish fleet for both twin and single trawling, the company's Jean-Gabriel Podeur tells FNI.
The rectangular door, with its long ground contact, is said to help give better results than oval doors. Also, the Polyfoil door was designed largely to meet the needs of Scottish skippers seeking to maximise door spread with long sweeps.
"The Polyfoil 3 doors, designed with the help of the aerospace industry, have 15 per cent more spread," Jean-Gabriel Podeur says.
