New Jersey, December 4. The US Coast Guard has airlifted a fisherman from his vessel after he cut himself while trying to fix the handle on his shucking knife. Jamie A. Gibbs was on board the 94 ft.
North Carolina-registered scalloper Captain Fella when he suffered the injury. Crewmembers from Coast Guard Station Shark River initially responded to the call for help and took him on board for first aid. He was brought back to Coast Guard Station Manasquan and taken to a medical centre in New Jersey.
