The focus of second hand boat sales in the last months of 2002 was centred on Fraserburgh, Whitby and Brixham.
Alex Jack of Gardenstown, who previously skippered the whitefish pair trawler Silver Harvester BF 378, has bought the steel hulled Shemariah UL 88, and renamed the twin rig trawler Harvest UL 88.
The 23m trawler, which has a forward wheelhouse, regularly fished from Lochinver since being built at Thorne in 1974 as Maranatha UL 88. Powered by a 317kW Caterpillar engine, the vessel was also named Mary Frances and Arcturus, before becoming Shemariah, skippered by Bobby Hepburn.
