A SOUTH Devon fisherman lost his life on his final trip aboard the Plymouth-based beam trawler, Joy of Ladram.
Crewmember Leon Reader, 35, had decided to come ashore permanently to spend more time at home with his children.
While the trawler Joy of Ladram was berthed in Milford Haven docks, the crew decided to go ashore for a meal, but Leon Reader failed to return safely to the vessel. His body was later found in 25ft of water.
Dyfed-Powys police have opened an investigation and a spokesman said that there were no suspicious circumstances.
