A WELCOME visitor to Fleetwood is the newly-arrived Bridlington vivier crabber Siwrengale H77, which will be fishing out of the port for the next three months, writes John Dover.

Skipper Darren Waters and his four-man crew have switched his 14.95m vessel from the central North Sea to target whelks in Morecambe Bay, the Isle of Man, and Northern Ireland.

"Fleetwood is a good location in terms of getting out to the fishing grounds and parking up for going home. The drive back to Bridlington only takes two-and-a-half hours, so we find this very convenient.
