Winch maker Spencer Carter of Falmouth has unveiled its long-awaited electrically driven Bandit pot and/or net hauler, writes Phil Lockley.

The hauler has been designed mainly for full-time fishermen, but Spencer Carter says that it is also suitable for part-time operators in outlying districts.

The design team reports that it has taken about a year to produce the first Bandit largely because work on Spencer Carter's standard hauler range has been "very brisk."

Richard Carter, the company's technical manager, tells FN: "It's not like the hydraulic Solo hauler and is aimed at smaller boats.
