AUDACIOUS, a 33.95 metre twin-rig trawler, was delivered last month to her Scottish owners Ian and Billy Gatt, who are leading exponents of twin-trawling.
She has been completed and designed by the Karstensens shipyard in Denmark on a hull from P. Ree AS of Lolland, Denmark, which was towed to the northern Danish port of Skagen for fitting out.
The new vessel, which is built as a twin-rigger stern trawler, replaces a ship of the same name lost just over a year ago in the north Atlantic (see FNI March 1998).
