Skipper Robert Greig of Portsoy is now fishing from Fraserburgh with the new twin rig prawn trawler Ashlon BF 103, which is named after his daughter Ashton and son Leon.
The 15m trawler was built at Eyemouth by Coastal Marine Boatbuilders using pre-cut steel supplied by Macduff Profiles to plans drawn up by Macduff Ship Design which also acted as project consultant during the 12 month building programme.
The decision to build Ashlon is a big vote of confidence in the future of prawn fishing by Skipper Robert Greig - who previously skippered Holly B - and partners Fraserburgh Trawlers and A Thompson Jnr.
