Northern Leader, the flagship vessel operated by Alaskan Leader Seafoods, will be featured on the April 9 episode of Discovery Channel's 'Mighty Ships,' the company said Tuesday.
The US television show as touting the dramatic episode, saying that the camera crew "set sail with longliner Northern Leader and her crew as they fish[ed] straight through a hurricane."
The freezer-longliner is eco-friendly, combining "a very low environmental impact method of fishing with onboard processing capabilities to allow for both maximum utilization of vessel catch and the highest quality Alaskan whitefish production possible."
