Simrad has introduced a new high performance echo sounder at an affordable cost aimed at coastal fishing vessels.
The ES60 package costs €21,000 (around £14,000) and is "amazing value for smaller vessels looking for a cost effective way to improve their catch" says Simrad.
The package, which was launched at the recent Nor Fishing show in Trondheim, Norway, includes a Simrad marine computer, ES60 splitbeam sounder software and the new ES38-10 38kHz transducer, powered by either DC or AC.
Simrad says the price is around 40% lower than any other comparable 38kHz split beam sounder available, bringing the high level fish finding and fish sizing capabilities of the ES60 to a much wider market.
