The term Eurocutter was introduced to the UK fishing industry several years ago to describe a Dutch built, small beam trawler/stern trawler able to undertake multi-purpose operations.
The Dutch yard Padmos at Stellendam has taken that design several stages further to produce seven (with the eighth under build) new style Eurocutters, able to beam trawl, single rig stern trawl, twin rig stern trawl, triple rig stern trawl and a host of midwater operations when necessary.
Admiral Grenville is the only such vessel in the hands of UK owners.
