HILARY Benn MP has replaced David Miliband as secretary of state at DEFRA, and Lord Rooker and Phil Woolas MP have been appointed ministers of state at the department, reports Phil Lockley.
As Fishing News went to press it had not yet been announced who would be responsible for fisheries.
Exeter MP Ben Bradshaw, the previous minister of fisheries, is now minister for the south west (one of a number of newly created regional portfolios in the reshuffled government) and minister of state at the Department of Health.
