Land-based yellowtail farmer The Kingfish Company reported record sales in the second quarter of 2021, with its production capacity “continuously sold-out” despite increased harvest levels and price increases.

Compared with the first quarter of the year, total sales increased 56 percent to €2.3 million ($2.7 million), helped in part by higher prices. During the quarter, the company sold 197 metric tons, an increase of 42 percent over sales in the first quarter.

In the second quarter the company also set a new production record of 268 metric tons, an increase of 17 percent over the previous quarter.
