Spanish tuna processor Atunlo is giving employees a 15 percent bonus on top of their base salaries to reward their effort and commitment during the coronavirus outbreak.
The bonus applies to the days which workers provided on-site services, says an announcement on the company's Facebook page.
The Vigo-based firm is hoping the incentive will help maintain productivity and activity during troubling times, especially since food manufacturers are considered essential businesses.
Atunlo's current priority is to also maintain jobs once the situation dies down.
