Bremnes Seashore increased both its revenues and earnings in the last fiscal year and delivered record results for turnover and earnings as global demand for farmed salmon pushed up prices.

Revenue jumped 11.5 percent to more than NOK 2.6 billion (€274.2 million/$317.9 million) in 2017, while operating profit increased 36 percent to NOK 427.7 million (€45.1 million/$52.3 million).

Though prices were strong, operational and biological challenges were a source of extra costs, and high salmon prices had a negative effect on the profitability of processed products, the company said of its results.
