The acquisition Tuesday of whitefish processor Albert Darnell by New England Seafood International (NESI) is a complementary deal which will support the latter’s aggressive growth plans, according to Dan Aherne, CEO of NESI.

New England Seafood is a £100 million (€110.7 million/$122.9 million) importer, processor and distributor of premium chilled fish, specializing in species such as tuna, wild Alaskan salmon, seabass and seabream, and a range of locally and internationally sourced speciality species.
