The Marr Group, Italy's largest seafood distributor to the foodservice industry, has signed a framework agreement to acquire fellow seafood processor and distributor Antonio Verrini & Figli Group (Verrini).
Based in Genoa, Verrini is involved in the processing and marketing of seafood products throughout the Liguria and Versilia region.
The company operates five distribution centers along the coast of Liguria and in Viareggio, and has a fleet of 50 refrigerated trucks.
