BioMar's partnership with UK biotech firm Deep Branch, whose technology turns industrial carbon emissions into novel protein sources for animal feed, is just the latest of the group's forays into fishmeal alternatives, an effort that the industry in general has embraced.
Initially, the feed diet, which includes Deep Branch's Proton brand protein, will only be tested on salmon, BioMar Salmon Division VP Paddy Campbell told IntraFish.
