US retailer Whole Foods has changed its aquaculture purchasing policy in a shift that will open doors to new feed ingredients for farmed salmon in particular.
The Amazon-owned retailer, widely viewed as having among the most stringent seafood purchasing specifications, released new guidelines allowing for the use of avian products in aquaculture feed, according to the sourcing policy, obtained by IntraFish.
