The aquafeed producing arm of French feed cooperative Le Gouessant plans to double production capacity and revenues next year after acquiring a plant in southern France in March.

The division, with annual sales of €30 million ($34.7 million), currently produces 25,000 metric tons of feed a year at a site in Brittany, France.

That number is set to double to 50,000 metric tons within a year. The company increased the number of its employees to around 60 after the acquisition of the Aqualia mill south of Bordeaux.
