Striking workers at a BioMar feed plant in Pargua, Chile in the Los Lagos region will vote on an improved pay offer on Friday as a strike there moves into a second week, IntraFish has learned.

Workers began taking industrial action over pay and conditions on April 8.

Employees barricaded Chile's Ruta 5, one of the country's main highways, as part of their protest.

Despite Biomar management presenting various solutions, including an improved offer, those options have been rejected by workers, who are demanding "a dignified agreement."
