US-based Lund's Fisheries has appointed seafood industry veteran Jennifer Barrett as its new west coast business development manager.
Barrett joins the whitefish, salmon, scallops and squid harvesting and processing firm from California-based Meridian Products, where she was vice president of marketing for a year and a half.
She was previously chief commercial officer and vice president of sales at Del Pacifico Seafoods in Los Angeles.
Barrett spent six and a half years as vice president of frozen sales at Lee Fish in the Greater Los Angeles area between 2015 and 2021.
Her first foray into the seafood industry was as an import/export sales executive at the State Fish Company in San Pedro, California.
Lund's Fisheries owns and operates a a fleet of 15 vessels off the US East and West coasts, selling fresh and frozen seafood to domestic and international markets. Its daily processing capacity is 450 metric tons, according to its website.
