Avanti Feeds, south Asia's largest shrimp feed supplier, reported a surge in third-quarter profit as both volumes and margins grew.
The Indian producer, which also processes farmed shrimp, reported a 53 percent increase in earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) for the third quarter of its financial year to INR 2.0 billion (€21.9 million/$23.1 million).
Revenues were up 9 percent to INR 13.7 billion (€150.1 million/$157.9 million), driven by strong shrimp feed sales volume growth of 13.5 percent to 132,049 metric tons.
