European fish feed producers are unlikely to experience any dramatic impacts should new tariffs be imposed on US imports of ingredients such as fish oil and soy, as part of the bloc's proposed counter-measures to US tariffs on imports of steel and aluminum.

The European Union's (EU) proposed counter-tariffs on a raft of imports from the United States, currently slated to come into effect in mid-April, include HS codes for some fish oil and soy products, however several sources said, due to the relatively small amounts of these used by the aqua feed sector, the impact should be limited.
