Danish feed giant BioMar reported a record second quarter as higher sales volume and prices boosted operations, but its top executive delivered a rebuke to unnamed rivals for continuing to supply Russian customers in the wake of its invasion of Ukraine.

BioMar reported earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of DKK 261 million (€33.9 million/$36.5 million), an increase of 24 percent compared to the second quarter of 2021, despite challenges caused by raw material prices, energy costs and the impact of suspending trade with Russia.
