Aquaculture feed company BioMar is ramping up production at its Ecuador feed plant, with plans to build four new lines with a combined capacity of 200,000 metric tons at its facilities in Guayaquil.

With the expansion, which follows strong sales figures in the region, will come a larger product portfolio of shrimp feed.

The investment includes new land, a transformation of the current factory layout, an upgrade of existing pelletizing equipment, as well as the four new lines for extruded feed.
