‘The time of transactional relations is ending’: Aquaculture's ambitious sustainability goals are reshaping the role of feed suppliers

With increasing sustainability demands from consumers, the aquaculture industry is entering a new era requiring more cooperation across the value chain than ever before, according to the top executive with feed producer Biomar.

Carlos Diaz, CEO of Denmark-based Biomar, one of the world’s largest aquaculture feed suppliers, said a long-term, shared approach – which could include partnerships or investing, but will most definitely require patience – will be essential.
