Bill Doherty has an extensive background in producing business conferences, both as the president of his own events firm and as an executive at other companies in the events industry. He’s also the owner of the BeachFire Bar & Grille in Ogunquit, Maine. He’s now blending these two careers into a new venture he says will benefit retail and foodservice seafood buyers and their suppliers.
In November, Doherty’s company, International Conference Development (ICD), bought the US-based FirstSource seafood conference after its previous owners, HighLiner Events of Portland, Maine, sold the company’s assets following a dispute among its partners.
