IntraFish went into one of Sea Value's four tuna canning plants in the seafood processing area of Samut Sakhorn in Thailand, an hour away from the capital of Bangkok, to see how Sea Value, a company which employs over 10,000 workers spread across its four factories, processes its canned tuna.
Sea Value, Thailand's second largest tuna canning company behind Thai Union Frozen Products, has a processing capacity of 1,000 metric tons daily.
Its main markets are the United States and EU, but it's slowly looking at emerging markets such as Brazil and the Middle East to boost growth.
