The world’s largest salmon farmer is seeing growing sales volumes in new countries shifting the consumer landscape.
Marine Harvest CFO Henrik Heiberg told attendees at the IntraFish Media Seafood Investment Forum in New York City on Tuesday that global volumes of salmon sales showed an overall rise of around 12.1 percent.
Markets such as Russia (up 24 percent), Brazil (up 25 percent), Ukraine (up 30 percent) and South Korea/Taiwan (up 45 percent) are showing sharp upticks that hold promise for worldwide consumption.
