Norwegian salmon farmer and fish feed producer Cermaq turned in tidy results for 2012, acting CEO Tore Valderhaug told the IntraFish Media Seafood Investment Forum in New York City.
The world’s second-largest fish feed producer via subsidiary Ewos, and one of the world’s largest farmed salmon producers via its Mainstream division, Cermaq’s diversification helped it weather a volatile second half of 2011, Valderhaug told attendees at the forum, held Tuesday in New York City with co-sponsors Arctic Securities and Paine + Partners.
